Mr. Dewey is the President and Managing Partner of Paragon Equity. He has over 18 years of experience in the industry, focused primarily on alternative investments within fixed income and private equity. Mr. Dewey maintains a strong network of relationships with investors, investment managers, and thought leaders globally. Prior to launching Paragon Equity Partners, Mr. Dewey was Head of Portfolio Strategy & Managing Director at 3|5|2 Capital, who partnered with Leucadia Asset Management to establish a structured credit fund focused on Asset-Backed Securities. Previously, he was at Deer Park Road, a ~$3.2bn structured credit manager with a 14+ year track record based in Steamboat, Colorado. Mr. Dewey led their New York effort, focusing on capital formation from institutional allocators. From his investor relationships, Jabez has successfully raised north of ~$825mm of capital since 2018. In 2021, Mr. Dewey launched Paragon Equity Partners in partnership with Stonecrest Capital Markets.

Mr. Dewey's early career was spent at Bear Stearns and StormHarbour, a boutique investment bank based in New York City, as part of the Fixed Income Sales and Trading Desk. He focused primarily on structured products, trading RMBS, CMBS, CLO, & ABS securities with institutional investors before moving to the buy side in 2016. Mr. Dewey has valuable experience and relationships on both the buy side and the sell side, with a keen focus on alternative investments and private equity.

Mr. Dewey received his BA from Colby College in 2007 and was an Academic All-American Swimmer, placing 5th in the country in the 100-yard backstroke in 2006 & 2007 at the NCAA DIII Championships. Mr. Dewey is based in New York City and spends time on Block Island during the summer. Jabez loves to travel and experience new cultures while connecting with people along the way. He is an avid surfer and snowboarder and enjoys fly fishing, hockey, and golf.
